As you search for a moving company, you might have some concerns.

A: Yes. Many of our movers have been with us for years and our new hire criteria includes professional moving experience. We are also committed to continuous training for our employees.

A: Dallas Moving Forward is fully licensed and insured. We also have a massive collection of great testimonials from many of our satisfied customers. A: Yes, we are insured. In the event of damage, we will try to repair your furniture if possible. If the damaged piece is not repairable, best of what you choose on the contract (contact our office for more information).

A: If it is smaller than a breadbox, then put it in a box. Remember, you are paying your movers by the hour, and it takes us a lot less time to dolly out boxes than to carry out miscellaneous items and find safe places on the truck for it. Our movers are trained to refuse to take certain items if not properly packed.

A: It depends on a lot of factors, but our average move was $1,500 – $2,000 last year. See Average Moving Costs for ballpark estimates, or if you would like a more accurate estimate call us at 214-764-9987.

A: Some people try and collect miscellaneous boxes before they move. However, we have a Buy-Back Program you can take advantage of. Using uniform sized moving boxes helps the movers load the truck quicker, and since we get paid by the hour, using good boxes can save you money.

A: Yes. We carry a complete line of boxes and moving supplies and we offer free delivery if you are moving with us. Explore our options with the box Buy-Back Program.

A: No. There is no need to use the extra boxes. Our movers can handle the extra weight. However, you will need to remove any loose items in the drawers, like papers, change or jewelry.

A: We rent a specialty box called a wardrobe box. Explore our Buy-Back Program.

A: The biggest thing you can do to save money is to be prepared for the movers. Have everything packed up and ready to go. Stack boxes 4 high (to easily load on dolly) in the living room or garage and allow movers to put them all in one room at the unload. Disassemble beds, take mirrors off dressers, and prepare all furniture to be moved. Be available to answer the movers’ questions regarding furniture placement. Don’t plan anything else for moving day.
